Pop-Up Garden
Lewiston’s community backyard. Community members can host events for free at this mini-park with picnic tables, apple trees, and a snack shack in the heart of Lewiston’s downtown.
Once home to hazardous housing, the Pop-Up Garden (PUG) is now an accessible outdoor space where community members can host birthday parties, barbeques, and other events for free. Featuring murals by local artists, a basketball hoop, seating for a dozen, and a snack shack stocked with a grill, event tents, and games, the PUG is everyone’s backyard in a downtown where backyards are rare.
Lewiston residents can reserve and use the PUG for free. Community organizations pay a small fee for use of the space and equipment.
